Jin Daily AI Trivia – Apple Intelligence Killer App: Accessibility
Apple just announced a bunch of new #Accessibility features powered by Apple Intelligence.
And honestly, this might be one of the most meaningful #AI updates from Apple so far.
Not because it can generate cute AI-powered emoji.
But because Apple is doing what Apple has always been quietly good at - bringing #accessibility features to the people who actually need them the most.
#VoiceOver will be able to understand images in more detail, like reading bills, due dates, amounts, photos, and even personal documents.
#Live Recognition lets users point their iPhone camera at the world and ask follow-up questions about what they are seeing.
#Voice Control is also getting smarter. Instead of memorizing exact commands, users can describe what they want in natural language, like opening a specific folder or tapping something on screen.
There is also AI-generated live #captions for videos that do not come with subtitles, across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro.
But the wildest one?
#VisionPro users will be able to control compatible power wheelchairs using only #eyetracking.
This is the part of Apple that people don’t talk about enough.
For most people, AI is a #productivity tool.
For some people, AI is #independence.
And I personally know so many people whose quality of life became better because of Apple’s accessibility features.
PS: Apple Watch saved lives evens :P
But most media don’t cover this enough, because apparently this is not “cool tech” enough.
To me, this is exactly where AI should #shine.
Hope you learn something new today, see ya.
